I have downloaded these BIOS files from Spacewalker.com, in order to flash my 661/2 Space Walker Mother board.
Awd776, an application
661UPD readme
6610S164, a bin fileAt the A: prompt I have typed in AWD776 to start the FLASH MEMORY WRITER V7.76B
for:i440BX - ITE867 - 2A69KH28C - 0 DATE 02/08/1999I am prompted to save BIOS and asked for a file name to program
I have typed in any version of 6610S164.BIN
pressed enter and
Flash Type - WINBOND 29C020 /5V
and do you want to save BIOS has come up and a screen to name file, I type in 29C020, which I presume relates to the old BIOS, and save When I look at the file I save to in windows, there is no file extension.Next I always get the error message re file to program "Source file Not found!" which refers to 6610S164.BIN. floppy with file is definitly in drive.
Thinking there could a zero or letter in name, file extension missing, I have tried changing, but nothing has worked.
What am I doing wrong.
Help much appreciated
Thanks
Nils

I can't be definite because I am not sure what kind of BIOS you have. I flashed an AWARD bios by downloading a bin file, a readme file and AWARD???.EXE--an EXE file.
The bin file is the new bios data. The exe file is the software that will install it.
The .exe program apparently cannot find the .BIN file in your situation. Are they in the same directory? You have to type in
OLDBIOS.BIN to save your old BIOS. You mentioned no bin extension in your post, so that may be part of the problem.
All in all your best bet is to study the readme.txt file carefully.
