In DOS-programs (Clipper-compiled) I need the use of the EURO-symbol (€). As You see, input (and also output) under windows 98 is nop problem, but how can I write it under DOS en send it to the printer (HPDESKJET)?
Can You help me?

All you need is a program to change the ascii code. if you dont manage to find one give me a message and i might be able to help you out.though im not sure if the printer will print it, because the printer might just accept the ascii value of the character and then use its own font.

IBM PC-DOS 2000 Manages to supply the Euro (€) symbol OK. But good old MS cannot be bothered with such an old program (Even if it is used by 1,000s) to update it.

We are using a screen-tool named UltraVision (UV.COM)
There are multiple high-resolution Fonts to use in "stand allone" DOS.
We have patched the Fonts to get the Eruo-Symbol.
To print the EUR-Symbol you have to define the Char in a SoftFont-Description.

I have found ways in dBase IV to "cheat" the system to print the "€" on a Seikosha SL90plus matrix printer emulating an Epson LQ850.
For input and in dBase IV internally I substitute with the "¥" symbol.
My method of "cheating" may - or may not - be used in other DOS systems or at least give inspiration to developing similar ways.
