The most recent version of DOS is MS-DOS 6.22 unless you're talking about some oddball brand of DOS. You can download the files you need from

http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/

Since you're posting in the DOS forum, I assume you do not mean the versions of himem.sys & emm386.exe that are part of Windows 95/98.

i say, screw emm386 and himem, and get qemm386. but if you want the newest versions, find someone with a win98 system and steal them! :)

Every time i download EMM386.exe , and then i try to open the file , i get a message saying that the file is not a win32 application.Why is that and what can i do
