Need help Need help. I am running VMware GSX on a windows XP platform. I run dos virtual systems that connect to a Novell server. I cannot get the expanded memory or device=c:\dos\EMM386.exe to run on the virtual dos system. I need to load this for I have manage this to run the clarion 2 application.
The error I receive: “Unable to set frame base address – EMS unavailable”

Sounds like you need to copy EMM386.exe to the C:\windows\system directory as well as the C:\ directory and also establish where it is in all three places in config.sys
