most dos cd-rom driver packs come with utilities to open and close the cd-rom drive. go to the support page for your cd-rom drive and download the driver file.

I believe that requires a 3rd party utility, but don't quote me on it. Sure it works in a batch file.

usage: CDMAN [command]
command: PLAY play audio CD 1,2,3..99 play specified audio track STOP stop playing EJECT open/close CD drive
example: CDMAN play
