PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THIS POST, THIS IS NOT
A SALES POST OR ME TRYING TO USE THE
FORUMS TO PROFIT, IT IS A SIMPLE QUESTION
POSED TO THE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS ON
THE DOS FORUM.

I was just wondering the prices of early versions of Ms-
Dos, I am getting very little info when searching online,
like ebay etc. I know the value of Dos 6.22 on 3.5
floppies is about 6.99 average, and dos 5.0 on 3.5
floppies can be $10. My question mainly refers to the
older versions, i have versions 2.11 w/gwbasic, 3.03,
4.0, 5.0 (full installs) all on 5.25 floppy original copies,
and also IBM PC dos 2.0. I have a rather large
collection of vintage software, and have made copies
of these for myself so ill never lose them (it is going to
hurt to lose them). But do to serious family financial
problems, I am going to have to sell some of my stuff,
and was wondering where to sell them and how much
to ask. Is there an online marketplace for this at all? I
always just used ebay.

I'm thinkin' ebay might still be your best shot. Here's one idea of prices of older DOS versions.

http://www.emsps.com/oldtools/msdos...

You'll need to adjust prices if selling used goods...say half of prevailing prices for unopened software.

Plenty of old software (office apps, games, utilities, etc.) is for sale on the internet. Most of it is unsupported and prices range from 5 bucks to a hundred or so.

Like used car salesmen used to say, "There's a butt for every seat".

Best of luck.
