I am running Windows Me, & have taken the image many time and stored on spare hard drive, but go CDR-RW and tried putting it on there, when I put the file name in I doubled it so it shut off went into dos and Its the wrong name it says \\.\Pqcd0\ \\.\Pqcd0\ Philips.PQI And should say \\.Pqcd0\Philips.PQI, I doubled the first part, I need some one that uses Drive Image 5. and someone that knows Dos, I do need step by step instructions as I know nothing about Dos Commands or anything. I would sure appreciate the help for something I did so stupid...Sue

If I understand your post correctly, you are creating an image file of your hard-drive and trying to store that image on a CDR or CDRW? If this is the case, one of the things you will need to do is create a data CDR of the ISO 9660 type data CD. As I understand it, this is the only way that DOS will be able to deal with the image file you created using Drive Image. There is one minor drawback however, you will only be able to give your image file a name with 8 character or less (not counting .PQI) No extra slashes or odd characters are allowed on an ISO 9660 CDR. If I left or forgot anything I am sure someone will correct me.
Not exactly right, I am trying to make a image to a cdr-rw drive, I put the Drive Image in and started it put the name in to associate it with in Dos, and I put the wrong file name in say file bla bla and should be file boy boy, so when I do it, it is not associating to the correct file, so it say not a valid file, so I need to delete that file, I tried and it just added to it, thats how I got double listings, can I go into dos and delete that line and start over..Thanks for your help. Sue

Unless I do not understand the question, you should just make another drive image and a new CD-R. If you have already formatted Windows ME away, you could try to xcopy the CD-R to a logical drive other than C: and correct the drive name that is wrong. Then install the image from there.
