I think I broke my ol PC!! I just got an old 486SX2 and there was heaps of crap on the HDD, so I went and (almost blindedly) formatted C, and reinstalled windows.
Everything was goin great-guns, till, when it wanted to reboot, it got past the "himem is testing..." and then it says "invalid system disk, replace and press any key"
so, I ask in all confidence sum1 can give some good advice, what do I do????

P.S. I loked for some things in www.bootdisk.com, but I couldn't find much :)

Check your hard drive make sure the cable did not work loose and then check setup make sure its there

Ok well, not to be repetative, but I could also use a copy of DOS. Any copy really. I'm playing with some classic windows OS's on an old 386 and I need DOS. Not sure if anyone knows what I could use for Win 1.0 and 3.11, but that's what I've got to play with. Any help would be great.

As is the case with all of the others, I'm in desperate need of DOS 5.0. My dad's HDD died and he has over 10 years worth of geneology records on diskette (the old way of backing up). We can't restore them without DOS 5.0. I'm also in dire need of TabWorks. His system is a Compaq Presario 920CDTV. This came with those, and other systems, back then. Unfortunately, the product is no longer supported by Compaq and they have no suggestions (as usual).

Looks like we're all in need of it. If someone could send me all the versions of DOS you have (5.0, 6.0, 6.22, etc.) I can make them available for download on my host. I'm personally looking for a version that I can play my legacy games with.
