DOS/Windows 2000 dual boot?

CPU/Ram: p3 900 MHz, 256 MB RAM
Product: IBM ThinkPad T22

I'd like to set up my laptop (which is running Windows 2000 with a FAT32 file system) to dual boot with some form of DOS (probably FreeDOS). Short of reformatting the entire drive or anything like that, what is the best way to do this?
