This board is the last great Nirvana for diehard DOS lovers like myself. I've been able to *almost* retire my Win2000 system and return to the great days of DOS..
I have been able to:
1. Browse the net with Arachne with my Broadband 3 Mbps cable modem and 3com Etherlink NIC.
2. Access all of my removable media, such as my CF-cards and 1394-based devices.
3. Enjoy a sustained HD-throughput in excess of 50 MBytes/sec thanks to DOS Ultra DMA drivers
4. View *almost* every type of image type under the sun with SEA v. 1.3 and DISP 1.90.
5. View almost every MOVIE-type with the excellent program Quickview 2.53 for DOS.
6. Use and Mount my NTFS-based drives and LFN support (not that I *like* LFN, mind you). And browse everything in a New-York minute
using the exhalted Xtree Gold Pro 3.0.7. Play all my sound files through the excellent MPXPLAY v. 1.50, OpenCP 2.60, and DSP 3.0 programs.
8. Burn CD images through DOS.
9. Create and use very productively a 1.0 GByte RAMDIDSK through the great XMSDSK v. 1.9.
10. Play all my favorite games through the DOS port of MAME, using my PCI-based Sound Blaster 16.
BUT.....
I can't play my MPEG2-encoded videos!
I've heard of some open-source mpeg2 codec in the works called the ffmpeg project. It might be possible for someone to code up a DOS-based player using this codec. Is it even feasible or would it be too slow to be usable? Does anyone here have more info on this?
Thanks.

Maybe contact www.multimediaware.com the home of Quick View pro, though surprised QV does not support this format.
