hello
first, i would like to know... what kind of op.sys. is dos? is it a 32bit or a 16bit operating system?
my problem:
i got a 32bit citrix-client.... at dos-startup....dos notifies: "tcp/ip 1.0 successfull loaded"but my citrix-client always means:
tcp/ip not loaded.....i really don't know, where the problem should be, because....in my opinion ... my files are configured well...
i just need the tcp/ip-stack under dos...here are my configuration files... especially check the "system.ini" and the "protocol.ini".....and sorry... my english is very bad...
here:
----------
autoexec.bat:
C:\DOS\SMARTDRV.exe /X

i really searched everywhere for a solution...but it seems, there isn't one...
greetings and thanks for every answer
pablo

DOS is a 16bit Operating System, (though there are 32bit versions, but not common)
As to the TCP/IP stack:
I have used Network Client 3.0 in a Microsoft Windows/DOS Network.
Internet access/web server (LAN)/NeOS use Packet Drivers loaded through AUTOEXEC.BAT
You could try a different TCP/IP stack the most common for DOS is Waterloo TCP, and details can be found here:
http://www.smashco.com/wattcp.asp
http://the-baby.adsl.dk/mca/dos/index.htmlHope this is of help, good luck...

i can start the program "c:\net\sockets.exe", too and it starts successfull....
but if i start the tools "tracert" or even "ping".... my computer just halts. I just can turn him off by pressing the power-button....
could anyone give me a link to a website, where i can download the ping.exe, which really runs on dos6.20...?
greetings&thanks
pablo

i downloaded this ping.exe and as i ran the tool... it reported:
bootp failed.....but the tool "tcptsr.exe" already obtained an ip-adress from the dhcp-servergreetings&thanks

I have been having problems with Wattcp tools regarding BOOTP so will keep you informed................
