i am trying to clairfy a few thing about the versions of dos.

dos 6.22 == stand alone and works with win31
dos 7.0 == comes with win95a(osr1)
dos 7.10 == comes with win95b(osr2)
dos ???? == win98
dos ???? == win98se


what versions came with win98 and win98se?
i am trying to get to know dos a little better, and i own all those verions of windows. is there a place i can find these versions of dos on the windows disk. if not can i download them someplace. thanks all

Everyting from Windows 95 OSR2 and beyound was/is MS-DOS 7.10 as far as I know.

WinME uses 'dos 8' although it may say 'millenium version' or something.

All versions of MS-DOS upto and including MS-DOS 6.22 display their version on startup and when VER is typed.

Versions 4.01 and above can be used with Windows 3.1/3.11 and Windows for Workgroups 3.1/3.11 (A version of MS-DOS 6.x is recomended)

All versions of MS-DOS that come with Windows 9x show the Windows Versions at startup and when VER is typed:

Windows 95/98A (OSR1) = MS-DOS 7.0
Windows 95B/C (OSR2)  = MS-DOS 7.10
Windows 98/98se       = MS-DOS 7.10
Windows Me            = MS-DOS 8.0

can any on tell me where i can get full copies of DOS 6.22 and DOS 3.30 MS of couse.
