I’m looking for DOS utility program that will shut down or close Internet explorer 5.01 with out disturbing other applications. I located one by mistake a couple of months ago and never thought I would have a use for it… Guess I was wrong…

This is the DOS forum and you need a Windows application to do that, you will get help faster in the Windows forum. That's my advice.

I've been looking for the same command but to close Outlook before my automated backup batch file tries to copy the files. There must be a command to close a specific running exe program.
If you find it, will you please tell me, or if I finf it first I'll do the same.
