I having a serious problem with my computer, I tried to get a DOS game to run properly, so I apparently had to change some of the configuration properties of a .bat file. I did this (incorrectly I think) now whenever I try to start up my computer it says that Windows 98 is starting your MS-DOS based program, and it gets no further. I can get into safe mode, where I tried changing the configuration back to normal but thids hasn't worked, and neither has deleting the file, PLEASE HELP!

Was it the autoexec.bat file that you modified? If so, please paste here the modified part.
You may insert a REM to the beginning of this file, to make the line ineffective. like this: REM this line is ineffective in autoexec.bat

Chris, It sounds like your autoexec.bat file is trying to run the ds.bat file that you modified. Trying editing the autoexec.bat file and put a REM at the beginning of any line that has "ds.bat" in it. Then try booting your computer and see if the problem is cleared.
PS It's always a good idea to make a copy of any file before you edit it. Rename the copy "xxx.org" or something like that so if things go bad (they do), you're covered,
