Does anyone know of some dos tape backup software? I'm having troubles with tapeware. Veritas, dantz, and CA don't seem to make dos versions.
I know I could use DATMAN, but i'm looking for something a little better.

The last DOS based tape backup I used was made by Colorado Memory Systems (CMS). They were acquired by HP. These were connected to the parallel port or through floppy drive interface. Simple but slow backup.
What drive and media are you using?

I think I'll just buy a drive that includes dos based software and steal the software.

Unlike CD-R/RW drives, tape drives frequently had their own software. That's why media used by the similar drives were not interchangeable.

Any time that you make a backup, I deleted a file to see if I can recover from the tape, and that program tells me "fatal error". I mailed tho the owner of that software, but they told me "Sorry, but DOS programs had support until to the year 2000". f--- them!!!. So, if you find a good program, I´ll use it too...
