Is there a way, using dos, to do a search through a bunch of *.txt files, and locate certain words?

Thanks

It could be done with a batch file, using redirect piped input to the FIND command and the ECHO command. About all you would be able to do is search a file for one specific word with FIND and echo it the screen or a file. The case of the word would have to be the same as in the file. It would be very slow.

There are any number of small DOS programs that do this type of search quite well.
