I am looking for a printer that can print from DOS as well as Windows. I currently have a Epson Model 777 printer and it will not print from DOS. I have e-mailed Epson and they said that none of their printers at this time will print from a DOS program.

I have 3 epson printers that print from dos programs. They are Epsonfx-286, epson-LX800 & epson actionprinter 5000. They are old printers though but any dot matrix printer will print in dos. You might need a printer driver if you want to print graphics in dos but in my dos programs such as WordPerfect 5.1 & an Older Msworks dos program you can choose text only or standard printer & it will print. Ok if you are just typing standard letters. Dot matrix printers will also print in Windows. I just got a new Okidata dot matrix printer that prints in dos as well as windows also.

The Epson Stylus Color 740 will print from DOS as well as recognise the standard epson escape codes for typefaces and graphics. I'd guess that the rest of the stylus color family will do this too.

I have a stylus 850 works great in WP 6.0, although there is no driver for it. In your programs printer setup select a printer , I tried two or three, If you have your printer manuel it may tell you which printer to subsitute.
