I purchased the PC Magazine DOS Power Tools book in the late '80s and have lost track of the disk. I am now teaching a DOS command line class at a local JC and would really like to have access to the utilities that came with this book. Can anybody help me out?
An excellent book - unfortunately my original floppy suffered some damage - was there a particular utility you were looking for? Most are available in one form or another

Hi Tom I have the 2nd edition which as 3 5-1/5" disks its the same book by the same author Paul Somerson but published by Bantam Computer Books and was revised to cover DOS 5.0. I've already transfered these to 3 1/2" disks. I could email them to you in a zip file.
I don't have ready access to my (insanely large) collection of 5ΒΌ" or the book at the moment, but there were some fairly unique little tools in that collection - some I still find useful.
Tracked down a few updated versions online over the years - it's that, buy the book, or check out dtech's offer

dtech10, I would love to take you up on the offer of a zipped email. My email is: tmike@recipes4linux.com Mechanix2Go, I grabbed the file off of your site. Somethings never go out of style, and these utilities fall into that category. Take care, -TT
Tom - - your email is linked (securely) to your name here. Posting it openly as you have is not generally recommended and defeats the purpose of filling out that field in the first place
