Comment: In DOS 6.22 is there a proper way in turning the computer off? When the scree says "C:\" do I just push the power button to turn the computer off or is there a command?

In ancient days one first had to "park" the heads of the hard drive, before pushing the power button. Actually it ussually was a switch. Greetz from The Netherlands, The Count

Reply: (edit)On many newer machines you need to hold in the Power Switch for about 5 secounds to turn PC off. This is a safety feature for Win9x onwards. If you are in Pure DOS thats all you need to do! Turn Off.
