I just got a new computer and cannot remember how to put a password in DOS. On my old computer, I had to type a password in order for my computer to start up. I connot remember how I did it. Can someone please help me?

You'd be better off with a bios password.
your P.C. will tell you how to enter setup when you boot it up. (Usually del or F2)then set a system password but don't forget it or you'll need to open up the box and remove the battery to clear it.

Open your computer to see your main board. It has a jumper to reset the battery. You can reset the jumper. So all cmos information will be canceled.
