i searched using this pages search engine trying to figure out how to get online in dos. i figured out that dos doesnt have drivers and winmodems wont work. i dont have a winmodem so that is the first step. now a few posts said that i would need a comm program. Can anyone suggest a good comm program? thank you

There are a number of Internet browsers for DOS, most are text based browsers. Arachne is by far the best DOS graphic browser. http://browser.arachne.cz/dos/ The trick is making sure you have freed up enough memory in DOS to allow the program to run. There are different ways of doing this; 1. RAMDRIVE/RAMDISK-there is a text file that comes with Arachne that explains it, I think it is called ARAMDISK.txt. 2. QEMM-a memory manager for DOS that so far, when I have used it, freed up enough memory to properly run Arachne. You will have to search the Internet for QEMM.
