Hey all. I'm trying to get a version of DOS that will allow me to see & use a 15gb partition. Also, is there a way to use system memory instead of conventional memory?

As to 15GB, w98se. Various;y known as DOS 7.10 etc and claimed by some to be non-existant.

"use system memory instead of conventional memory?"

Dunno what that means.

.. doubtful if anyone does - must be that 'private terminology'

Clearly the DOS in Win95B - -> Win98 supports large disks (aka "DOS7.10").

No way to get that from 622, possibly some of the M$ alternates

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

no, wengier made a legal copy of 7.10 that is standalone. I don't know the link, but you can search through our old threads to find it.

Try FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org) or Dr-DOS (http://www.drdos.org). Both are open source.
