I was attempting to format a computer and accidently cleared the ESCD area and all the values were taken out. After that, trying to restart the computer resulted in "Operating System not found." I put the hard drive values back in and the problem continued. I tried installing DOS 6.22 and got through the setup screen. When it restarted, it said "Starting MS-DOS" and nothing happened. When I put in the other installation disks, "Non-System" disk errors occur. I cant format the hard drive without a dos prompt. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Have you tried resetting your BIOS so it automatically recognises the drives??
If the drives are not correct in BIOS, I presume you manually entered parameters, then when DOS reads the BIOS it will find differences.
Try the BIOS and report back please, if you want to put the BIOS back to factory default either take the battery out or locate the "Clear CMOS jumper"

If you have DOS how did get on the internet?

Dude! believe it or not, some of us have more than one computer! :):);)

see www.mwpms.uklinux.net, though quite a few websites which like Java and Flash crap will not load properly and I have to resort to my work XP PC, DOS is single tasking so a little on slllooooowwww side but great fun.
You can also have ADSL connection, WiFI and USB if you desire

I was able to install DOS on a floppy, but when I started it up, it cleared the Hard Drive info from BIOS. Then when I got DiskWizard to run, it wouldnt even recognize that I had a hard drive.
BIOS wont Autodetect the hard drive for me, thats why I had to input the parameters myself.

If BIOS is not recognizing the hard drive then it needs further investigation as it is useless otherwise. Have you tried the drive on another PC or tried changing the IDE cable?
I am still confused how you cleared ESCD whilst formatting as that is a BIOS call.
The only option I would suggest is to input the drive parameters in again and see if KILLDISK www.killdisk.com (bootable floppy creater execution file) will find drive?
