OS: WinXP

Product: generic
Comment:

If I rename the shortcut to something as 'shortcut', and I write a line command "copy C:\path1\shortcut C:\path2"
the system returns 'file can not be found'. What is the proper terminology for 'shortcut' in batch files ?

you need the file extenshion ".lnk"

So it would look like "C:\path1\shortcut.lnk"
