Hi I want to include in my desktop shortcut to a db switch or command that will automaticlly map the user to the correct server on the correct drive. ie on clicking the icon i want the user to be connected to P:\IG-rses-sss-004 I am on a Lan network the user will have already be set to have permission to attache to the server, it has just not connect. My Dos is not very good I would appreciate any help
No problem - lots of folks believe if they see a command line, it's got to be DOS.
There are many similarities between the two, but they can be very different. Most of us here in the 'old' DOS forum aren't really equipped to field those kinds of questions.
Good luck
