Hello,
I need some help when I run thouse old dos games I get no color at all. I updated my drivers for my GeForce 2 and still it is a problem. It used to work but now it is B&W.
Please can I have some help on this problem?

Please note: In order to help you best, it is necessary that you post a detailed description of your problem, along with your system credentials and exactly what version of the Operating System you are running. Also, please post any other information that you feel may be important, such as utility programs that you have running.

I am running the dos in windows. When I open I game and it goes into dos mode it is all black and white. When I change my adapter to standerd PCI Graphics adapter it is also black and white. Before it would be in color. I think taht might have something to do with my problem.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to pull your chain or anything like that - I don't claim to know the solution for your problem.
Somebody might, but it may be helpful for them to know a number of things about *your* computer and the version of Windows installed on your machine.
Did updating the vid-driver cause these problems or did they exist before?
Are you running DOS from within Windows or restarting in DOS-mode? Do you have trouble with all DOS games, or just a few - which ones?... questions, questions...

I have windows 98. I open the game in windows and it takes me to dos. It does this too all of the games. It happend before installing the drivers.

Seems like those old games don't support the new video card. This is a very common problem. The only fix I know is to use the old video card again. Black & White gaming... sound's cool though, ain't it? :-)

someone told me I just have to get dos to run my new video card and not the old one (Which is black and white) How do I do that?

Or if there are drivers for my standered pci graphics device that will make it not b&w I think that will fix the problem. The weird thing is is that it used to work.

Typically, DOS doesn't require any special vid drivers (although DOS apps did, for high resolutions etc) - the problem you describe seems quite unusual.
You might check for support at the card's manufacturer's site, or do a Google search to see if you can find some mention of a similar problem (and hopefully a solution).
Generally, if it used to work, then something in your system has changed, broke or wore out.

I think that dos runs off the standered pci graphics instead of my geforce. The standered pci is black and white for some odd reason. I now need to know is how to get that back to color.

Well, yeah - you want colour - I *get* that.
PCI is just the type of socket your card plugs into (Peripheral Component Interconnect), pretty much a standard type (other than AGP)Believe me, there is nothing standard about
black&white graphics on a modern system. For now, all that I can suggest is:
1)Replace the card (it may be defective), either way, it seems to be the source of your trouble.
2)Inquire at a Geforce site or user group - you might discover the solution there (if you have a manual for the card, now might be the time to give that a shot).
