I know that dos is not supposed to go on a fat 32 partition, but does anybody know of any third party software that will allow dos to read, write and be on a fat32 partition. Thanks

Greg,

Why wouldn't you want to use DOS 7. Dos 7 should run most of your DOS 6.22 programs fine. Just because it comes with windows 9X doesn't mean it can be run as a stand alone. It really is the simpliest way to do it.

As I was to understand any dos over 6.22 cannot stand as a lone OS. I read it from an A+ book. I might have misread that though. But I am still looking for software that will allow me to do this. Any suggestions?

MS-DOS 7.0 that comes with Windows 95 will run 99% of DOS programs without problems. If you add OLDDOS.exe which is an arcive of MS-DOS 6.22 applications removed from Windows 95 it will work fine. Even when you run MS-DOS 7.0 as a standalone OS it will still report itself as Windows 95 (Or whichever version) if you type ver!

There are some FAT32 software for DOS 6.22 wich are quite expansive. I'm also seeking for DOS6.22 FAT32 application. I tried a DRDOS7.03 driver but it cannot read the availale space on disk, leaving most software useless.

I know about DOS 7, can't use the thing.
Of course, DOS 7 **can** run stand alone, but I can't run it and **must** use DOS6.22 (requirements)
so I need a FAT32 driver for it to access a HUGE drive.

Hey Greg: you're not alone in that case!

anybody want's to help?
