DOS ERROR 2; help!

Comment:
We have an old DB2 DOS-aplication that runs from remote Win9x boxes no problem over a Windows file-sharing/TCP-IP network.
However, the same app's won't run (using the Start>RUN command) from 2 newer Win98 machines (which replaced some older Win95 machines).
Instead a error appears: "Error BASE/2005 Open error: VS_DEF.MEM (DOS ERROR 2)"
Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction.

dos error 2 is file not found. try setting the application up in a batch file and running that. Have the batch file CD to the actual directory.
or construct a desktop shortcut and set the working directory.

Hi,
Did you assign a drive letter to remote resource containing DB2 application? Old DOS programs can't work if you run them through Network Neigborhood. May be this is the problem?
