DOS drivers for LaCie PocketDrive?

I'm thinking about getting Powerquest's DriveImage 5.0 and will want to create an image to my external (Firewire)LaCie 10Gb PocketDrive.....I read somewhere that, while running in DOS, the PocketDrive won't be recognised and that restores will be impossible.
I've searched LaCies's site for DOS drivers with no result.....
Will I need DOS drivers in order to use the drive? If so, is there a generic DOS driver for these types of removeable media?
