Someone once told me about a command in DOS that would shwo how much of your CPU was being used and by what programs...It sounds just like UNIX(or Linux's) "top" command. Does anyone know of such a command. I looked through several lists of commands and did not see one. Thanks for your time.

Hi,
DOS is not multitasking operational system and can't run more then one program simultaneously. Of course it uses device drivers and TSR programs, but it's not a multitasking for the matter of fact. So when you run a program in DOS it always use all CPU resourses, so I think there is no such a program exists.
Good luck, Igor M

Summary: If you know the difference, therefore why are you asking for DOS commands??. You need to use NT specific command line prompt commands, I appreciate that some commands appear to execute in both M$-DOS...
