Hi folks. Recently, and seemingly out of nowhere, a bunch of DOS commands have disappeared from the command line. For instance, when I try "ipconfig", I get this:
"'ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command..."
I apologize for the ignorance, I'm sure you guys know what's up here.
I come from a Mac / *NIX background, and if this was, say, Linux, I'd immediately make sure the program was in my $PATH. This DOS however... no idea how to fix it.
Specs: Gateway Solo 51xx, Windows 2000 SP2.

Its about the same in DOS. "ipconfig" would be a program name (not a DOS system command), so the program or batch file (*.EXE *.COM or *.BAT) must be in either the current active directory or the PATH.
Type PATH to see what the current path= statement is.
Enter DIR \ipconfig.* /s
to find the current location of what you are looking for.
