Since my PC will not boot into Windows anymore, I'm trying to backup my Outlook folders from DOS before I reformat & reload.
DOS 6.2 will not recognize the C: drive, but if I boot with the WinME boot floppy I can get to a DOS prompt and see the C: drive and my ZIP drive.
Unfortunately, when I try to access my Outlook folders, they are more than 8 directories deep, so DOS cannot see them. I figured if I could use the DOS "Move" command I could move some directories so that Outlook is less the 8-level constraint. But I don't have a Move command for ME, and can't find it on the Web.
Any other suggestions on how to get around this 8-level constraint so I can do a DOS copy? Please help, as I am quite perplexed!

can you load a command prompt?
DOS 6 doesn't have long name support. DOS 7.1 (WIN 95/95 work of DOS 7.1) does.

DOS doesn't have this "8-level constraint", but only path name length limitation. Have you tried a MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk? More information is available at:
