People,

I'm running Windows 98SE and I use Ghost 2003 extensivly to make updated Image files of my C Drive in case of a screw-up.

I write Batch files to automate the process so I can do other things while the Image is made and CRC checked.

With my latest Batch file, I tell Ghost to burn the Image to a CD, do the CRC check of the Image, re-load Ghost, create another Image file to my G Drive and CRC check THAT Image too.

The only "Fly in the Ointment" is that after burning the CD Image, Ghost makes the CD Tray automatically open, and If I'm not RIGHT THERE to close it, the automatic CRC check won't take place and the WHOLE process comes to a stop.

Soooo... I need a DOS program that I can tell my Autoexec.bat file to trigger to automatically re-close the CD tray right when it is needed.

Anybody know of such a DOS program?

Though actually this version of GHOST is actually Windows Software not DOS.....PCDOS under Ghost is a Symantec version licensed from IBM and modified, therefore not a standalone DOS in its own right.

flimflam,

I've never run Ghost from Windows, I always use my own self-customized Boot Disks.

I had too many problems with PC DOS, so I subbed MS DOS in all of my Batch Files.
