I always boot to dos when starting up (6.22)
this is OK. Then I go to win(3.1) its OK. To
return to dos I exit windows, but I just lost
the C: prompt, all I get is a flashing cursor, & can only exit by shuting off my
computer.Where is my C: prompt??? please help
I use my dos more than win.

It sounds like Windows may be crashing when you exit. You may need to reinstall Windows. I haven't done this for a while, but you should be able to run the setup disks from dos to reinstall and not delete anything.
