I have an Axis Systems computer. Axis Systems is out of business now. When I first got the computer it had a program or interface that when you clicked on DOS prompt from Windows it took you to some sort of interface called a DOS box. Here it showed your settings(like IRQ's etc.) From here you went to the DOS prompt. Also a Box in Control Panel by same name showing different DOS settings. This DOS interface disappeared when I had to reinstall Windows. I don't know whether this was part of Win98 or not and who made it. If anyone knows what I am writing about let me know. The box is NOT the black DOS application box.

Petit-I don't think so. I'm familiar with DOSSHELL. You couldn't move files around or anything like that. Only set IRQ's etc. I remember one button was used to test sound. Thanks though!

DOS BOX figured out. I believe I've solved my own problem. I went through different installation disc and believe it has something to do with setting up the Yamaha@ sound card in MS-DOS. Documentation mentions a program named DS-1 that can used with many switches. In one sentence it mentions a DOS BOX. Evidently on reinstalling of Win98 and drivers etc. The option was not reinstalled. Thanks for the help!
Summary: Hi, I've seen screenshots of a Windows DOS box that has a scrollbar on the right of the screen (which means that the entire history of what's been typed can be seen by scrolling or resizing the window...
