I am building a new machine, with no CD ROM. I need to make a disk that will boot me to DOS, with Network Drivers, so I can access a CD ROM through a network. I copied the IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS & Command.com files to a disk, but know there are others I need. I want this to go on a system with Windows 98

Try Mick C's web site. Click "MS-DOS Resource Page" then scroll down to right above the green section in the table. There will be the two disks necessary for network boot. Hope that helps.

If I were you I'd hook up a CD-ROM and use a Windows 98 boot disk from Bootdisk.com, though. MUCH easier! :)

Maybe you can do this ... I did before. 1. sys a diskett 2. bootup you computer and sys it back to your new computer 4. boot your new computer from c: drive 5. setup your cd drive 6. setup your dos network client 7. put your win98 cd into server and share 8. copy win98 folder to your c: drive 9. setup from there. in future you no need any CD when Add/Remove.
