Comment:

I wonder if anyone can help me ?

I need to create a bootable disk that can boot up Win 3.11,95+ and have access to the c:\ drive.

I have formatted a boot disk using DOS 6.22 and when booted on a Win 95 machine it cannot see the c: drive (invalid drive specification) ?

Am I using the wrong version of DOS ?

Any ideas will be appreciated

Thanks

I suppose that Win95 machine uses FAT32. Only DOS versions the come with Win95 OSR2 (the 95B, not 95A or the initial Win95) and Win98 recognize FAT32 partitions. Format a system diskette on the Windows 95 OSR2 computer.

SaGS,

Yes FAT16 and FAT32 were the problem.

Thanks

Okay, I don't mean to be another mooch, but I
too need a DOS boot disk. I have built my
own system from the ground up and have not
been able to format my hard drive in order to
install Win95. If anyone knows of a place
where I can get this (these) files, I would
greatly appreciate the info. T
