I had WINXP on my home pc. A few days ago the window didn’t uploaded, and it restarted for many times, which I think is because of the new virus. I have formatted c, and try to reinstall XP another time, which was unsuccessful. Then I tried win98 I couldn’t either, and it stop responding nearly at the end stage of installing. Finally I tried win3.1, It installed but it says that the DOS version is not compatible with WIN3.1.
Now I want to try to install according to this pathway. DOS5 > win3.1 > DOS6.22> WINXP . Is it a correct way? What I have is All versions of Window CDs, Doss6.2, DOS6.2 boot disk, WIN98 and XP boot disk, and DOS 5 boot disk. Are they enough? Should I get a DOS 5 full version, if so where can I find it for free on the web?

THERE IS NO DOS IN XP IF YOU HAVE A FULL VERSION OF XP IT WILL INSTALL FROM THE BOOTABLE CD OR THE SIX DISKETTES:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q310994
XP HAS THE TOOLS BUILT IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS TO FDISK /FORMAT THE DRIVES.
PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST PIRATED SOFTWARE, ALL M$ PRODUCTS ARE LICENSED.
