dos 7.1 CD installation

CPU/Ram: 1.2 mhz

hi ladies and gentelmen I have dos 7.1 on a usb memory stick I copied it to a cd by draging it across after copying the file there was dos 7.1 cd isoimage file [8.596m in size] but when I double click on it a sonic window comes up asking if I like to burn an image and then it gives me an option 1. choose the location for the image and so on
So can any body tell me what is that is it an image and how can I get the dos and install it please and thanks in advance

First I presume DOS 7.1 refers to the WinDOS
from W9x, and it was never a standalone version!!

Secondly SONIC is WINDOWS software and
questions about WINDOWS software have more
appropriate forums.

Lastly MS-DOS and compatibles was always sold
on Floppies with the exception of DR-DOS7.3.

I think you're using the image file incorrectly.

If you burn an image file to a cd you just have an image file on a cd. As far as your burning software is concerned the image file is just like any other file.

You need to choose the option in your burner software to create the cd using the image.
