I want to just run dos 7 only on my pc. I used a win95 boot disk formatted my drive & did a sys c: from the a: drive & then copied all of the dos files to my hard disk. Everything is running fine except when I start my pc after loading everything it says starting windows 95 then boots to a c: prompt. It's ok but kind of annoying. Is there anything I can modify that would just boot me to a c: prompt without the starting windows 95 logo starting up?

You mean WinDOS 7.0 from Win95? In order to disable Win95 startup logo, you need to set the value of LOGO in MSDOS.SYS to 0.
However, if you really want to run DOS7 only on your system, I suggest you to install MS-DOS 7.x from MS-DOS 7.x installation disks instead of "SYS C:" on a Win95 Startup Disk, since WinDOS7 from Win95 disk is a very special and incomplete version of DOS. When I clicked on that link & then typed
http://newdos.yginfo.net/msdos71.htm in my search engine it just gave me a bunch of jibberish.

You should try the following link instead (not your link):
http://newdos.yginfo.net/msdos71/index.htm
Or here:

Wengier, If you read post10782 you will see that the URL Monroe tried to access is the one you posted back in October! It would be better if you referanced a newer message!!

Mick C,
Oh yeah, that old URL in that last October's thread was indeed broken. The old page should be fixed to jump to the new URL automatically very soon. Anyway, the new URLs I posted in Response #3 should work fine.
