I need help. I need to find out the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for dos 6.22. or a page that has similar information to this. please e-mail me if you have this info. thankyou so much!!!

MS-DOS 6.22 has no published minimum requirement! as far as I know. It will work on just about any 8086 IBM Compatable PC with 360kb RAM, Floppy Disk Drive and at least a 10MB Hard Drive! (Versions were released on 3.5" 720kb LD & 5.25" 1.2MB Disks, as well as on RAM Disks, But most if not all versions found today are on 1.44MB HD Disks)and a Mono Display.
MS-DOS 6.22 will operate direct from a single floppy disk, Setup will install to a Hard drive by default, But will copy minimum files needed as per disk size, by typeing SETUP /F
A very detailed set of documents called the MS-DOS 6 Resource Kit can be found at www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk
and as far as I know this is the only location that has it! (It is in Windows WRI Format so as to preserve formating) This site is also the best MS-DOS & Windows 3x download site I know of!

It does actually only need 256 k of ram. Less ram will result in strange error messages.
Also, a hard disk is not needed at all, but at least a 360k floppy drive is needed, which is the smallest supported media fitting the OS.
DOS 4 and 5 sometimes crash if you don't have a MDA compatible display card. Version 6.22 does though not require any display whatsoever.
The utilities EDIT and QBASIC need at least a 286 CPU.
