Hi,
I have this issue if anyone has an idea:

I have 1 DOS 6.22 box tried to connect to a server.
We can successfully connect to network. The problem is I cannot browse more than 1 deep.

As "net use" path only handle 1 sharename (\\computername\sharename), is there any other way if I want to go 4 deep in the directories?

Thanks a lot for any help

I can connect to the network.
However I cannot browse more than 1 deep.
Is there a way to connect from plain DOS box something like this?:

\\computername\folder1\folder2\folder3

Is this really MS-DOS standalone, it seems more like a Windows Command Prompt/MS-DOS Prompt question ??

If it is pure standalone MS-DOS6 or equivelent then you should re-install Network Client 3

If you have a valid link to the other computer.
i.e. net use x: \\computername\sharename
Then you can browse sub folders with
x:
dir
cd folder1
cd folder2
cd folder3
dir
You should be able to handle the attached drive as a regular drive.

I think you can only 'net use' to a share on a server. If you want or need to map further down a directory structure on the server, then I think you would have to share that directory on the server as a seperate entity.

It is a stand alone DOS. Microsoft Network Client 3.0 is installed.
It's trying to connect to Win2K3 server.
Based on my research so far, I haven't seen anything where I can go deeper than 1 directory. So, I will try as you guys recommend above.

Thanks
