For defrag to work, you need Ms DOS 6.0 or better. If yo want 6.22, E-Mail me

Hello, I saw your response and was wondering if you could help me. I have a laptop that's running Dos 5.0 because my disks for Dos 6.22 died. I am trying to access my network so I can install win 98 on it but I only go as far as installing the network card under dos, now I need a networking software to connect with. Can you help?
Thanks
Ed

Follow some of the links on this site and they will lead you through the process of installing DOS drivers to hook up to a network.

Get a copy of Norton Utilities 4.5a from www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk It has Speed Disk (Drefrag) as a utility that works with MS-DOS 5.0
You can also download a copy of MS-DOS 6.22 (or 6.0, 6.21, 6.20) Supplimental Files, which has Dosshell for 6.22. So you can use Dosshell on your 6.22 PC as well! P.S. Both are on MS-DOS page.
