Reviving a 386/33 (ha). I want to reformat the hard drive, but I can't find a bootable diskette. The HD doesn't book now. Boot with a higher version of DOS and of course none of the programs work, and you can't sys the hd, but at least that gives me dos functionality. I have the old DOS on the hd and copies (of the whole hd) on a Zip,burned on CD, copied to floppies (for the 386), etc., so I have plenty of copies. I searched this forum and followed links, etc. but of course everything is gone by now. Kind souls? I have Norton Disk Editor and tried to construct a bootable C, but I'm not that great.

I too need a dos boot disk. My puter won't work and if it did I surely would make a boot disk using the sys command. Can you send me the files to boot if you got them? I know it will take a while..but if you call them dos1, dos2 dos3 then I can at least put them on a 3.5" floppy and find someone who still has a 5 1/2" floppy so I can boot up the old computer.
Summary: I have recently mage a mess of an old 286 I aquared and I need a Dos 5 boot disk. If you can, Send me all the files I need To my email: Crash-Manager@another.com...
