Hi, after installing MS-DOS 6.22 I got an error message saying "disk read error (DOS)press any key". After I pressed any key another message said "no operating system found. press F1 to repeat boot sequence". My question is what can I do to fix this problem?
Maybe you forgot to "set active partition" in Fdisk after you created partitions. Boot from installation disk, quit from installation program, run Fdisk and select "Set active partition" (option 2).

If you're running an old hard drive in that P-4 it's possible the hard drive needs more time to spin up and be properly recognized. Look in cmos/bios setup and see if there's a 'hard disk pre delay' (or similar wording) and set it for 5 seconds or so.
