Here we go again - Homework Time.

MS-DOS is an OS

Windows 3.1 is a GUI

A GUI needs an OS to work

They are so differant that this is all you get.

Got it!

DOS is a command line operating system. You have to know the DOS commands and the syntax that goes with them and then enter it properly at a command prompt:

c:>format.com /s c:

For the uninitiated user, DOS can be quite intimidating.

Windows 3 is a GUI (graphical user interface) that doesn't use a command line or English words. Instead, icons and buttons or clicked or dragged around to accomplish a task.

Yeh Windows is for the simple minded that like to just point & click & not learn anything.

:-) Ok but there's no "trying" about it, I've been using that signature for the last day or so and I've recieved more visits. I don't know whether it's because they thought it was a solution to their problem or not, but it definitely worked.
And WIMP is a valid point!

Well I mean all web sites are on going projects mine just lacks the 'going' part that's all. I assumed that I wasn't getting any return visitors, now I know that I had at least one I'll put some more effort into finishing off some of the areas. Next few weeks will see some updates I promise.
