I don't see how, uf you don't know the directory.

Your info says you're using XP, in which case you should be in the XP forum.

Perhaps some combination of

for.. in.. do.. and 'if exist'

Assume this is for 98/DOS? XP can be the same but different.

At least we know the manufacturer (what a useful addition that is) for which we can thank the whiners over in XP. I suppose 'favourite colour' may be added next ; )

ok i need these help cause im making a Batch file for XP that somewhere in the process needs to erase a file from a unknown directory, if i can do this ill post the code of my program here.
