One way I know to clear the BIOS password is to short circuit the BIOS chip. This can sometimes be done with a jumper on the motherboard. In the MB documentation (always missing) look for a jumper that says "clear BIOS" or on the board itself maybe you can find a jumper that has something like "clr" printed near it. If you find such a jumper, move the pin cover to the other option (2-3 rather than 1-2 or vice versa) trun it on, turn it off & move it back. Should work. OR... gently remove the BIOS chip, wrap it in foil to cover all the pins (short it out) and replace it. Should work as well.

Try this.. Email me-I have the diagram for a parallel plug loopback device which wipes all TOSHIBA BIOS passwords. Simple to build-just a parallel plug and some wires. I have checked it and it shouldnt damage the parallel port if it is built properly...

Does anyone know a way to delete the bios setup password on a Thinkpad 755CX ? I can boot it up and run W95 but I cannot upgrade the bios so the PNP will work. Until I can clear the unkown password, the sound/modem will never be recognized. Thanks Michael
