Finally have a nice dos 7.10 wfwg3.11 file server. BUT need a dos defrag program like the old PC Tools. Want to set alphabetical, inside respective defined directories, move to front of drive, including system and hidden files.

Any suggestions what is available and hopefully a free down load off the net ??

Tnks

Somewhere I have Norton Utilities ver 6 [?], one of the last for DOS.

But my guess is that it will be useless for FAT32 and /or drives over, let's say, 850MB.

If I can find it you can try it, but I think it's likely to make a mess.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

That's part of the problem. It's a 30gb HD supported by the MB bios. Plan to go to 120gb. Is also fat32 and would like to use LFN. You would think there is a OEM solution somewhere that some industrial or mfg hardware uses.

Tnks.

Norton gave up on Directory Sort with the introduction of LFN. It probably could be done but with only a single application running.
