DDO I/O error

My computer (386) won't start up on the
harddisk. The message I get is: DDO I/O error. Can anyone please tell me what that is??????

I've no idea what DDO stands for, but here are some things that might cause the trouble. You have the right Cylinders, heads and sectors in the BIOS? The hard drive is 540 Mbytes or less? The HD is formatted? There is no Autodetect in a 386 you know.

Thank you for your reaction, but i have found the problem and the computer works perfect again. By the way: DDO means Dynamic Drive Overlay
